• During a scientific mission to the USA in 1984/85 he prepared a fundamental development for his subsequent habilitation

• In 1986, Prof. Dr. Prager became head of the Department for Metabolism Management at the Med. University Hospital II and was subsequently appointed head of the 3rd Medical Department for Metabolism and Nephrology at the Hitzing Hospital

• His medical career began in 1977. After studying at medical school he became a specialist in internal medicine, specialising very early on in diabetes and metabolism
