Question 5

How do I book a consultation?

Accepted Answer

To book a consultation, you first need to register an account on the MedicusUnion platform. Once registered, search for a doctor based on your medical condition and visit their profile page. From there, select the most suitable treatment plan, choose your preferred consultation date and time, and describe your health concerns in detail. You’ll also need to upload all relevant medical documents in the doctor’s spoken language and indicate whether interpreter support is needed during the video call.

After submitting your request, the doctor will review it and, once approved, you can join the online consultation directly from the Appointments section in your account.

Question 6

What if I can’t find the right doctor?

Accepted Answer

If you’re unsure which specialist is right for your case, you can submit a “Find Me a Doctor” request here. Be sure to include a detailed description of your health issues and attach all relevant medical documents. Our support team will promptly review your case and match you with the most suitable specialist. You must be logged in to your account to submit this request.

Question 7

Do you offer interpreter support?

Accepted Answer

Yes. MedicusUnion provides live interpreter services to assist with communication during video consultations. Patients can choose interpreter support during the booking process, ensuring clear understanding between the patient and the doctor, regardless of language barriers.

Question 8

How do I upload my medical documents for doctor review?

Accepted Answer

When booking an appointment, the platform provides a dedicated section where you can attach all relevant medical documents related to your health condition. These may include previous medical reports, lab results, diagnoses, and radiology scans such as MRI, CT, X-ray, or ultrasound images. Files must be in PDF, JPEG, or PNG format and should not exceed 1 GB in size.

It’s important to upload documents in the doctor’s spoken language to ensure they are easily understood. If your files are stored in cloud services like Google Drive or Dropbox, you can also include a shareable link during the booking process.

Question 9

Can I upload additional documents after booking an appointment?

Accepted Answer

If you need to share additional medical documents after you’ve already booked an appointment, you can do so by navigating to the Appointments section in your account. Locate the specific appointment and upload the new files directly there. Alternatively, you can go to the MedCard section in your profile, upload the additional file under “My Documents,” and manually share it with your doctor to ensure they have all the relevant information before your consultation.

Question 13

Can I use my health insurance to cover services on MedicusUnion?

Accepted Answer

Coverage for our services depends on the specific terms of your health insurance plan. We recommend reaching out to your insurance provider directly to confirm whether consultations, treatments, or procedures available through MedicusUnion are eligible for reimbursement or direct coverage. Be sure to provide details about the type of service and the healthcare provider involved. If needed, we can supply documentation (such as invoices or medical reports) to support your insurance claim.

Question 14

Can I get a medical prescription through MedicusUnion?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can receive a medical prescription through MedicusUnion after completing an online consultation with one of our licensed and certified medical specialists. However, the validity of these prescriptions depends on the country where the doctor is licensed and the regulations of the patient’s location.

Prescriptions issued by doctors based in European countries such as Austria, Germany and Switzerland are valid within the European Union. Doctors licensed in the United Arab Emirates can issue prescriptions valid within the UAE. Similarly, Israeli doctors issue prescriptions valid in Israel, and Indian doctors issue prescriptions valid within India.

If you consult with a doctor who is not licensed in your country of residence, the prescription may not be accepted locally. In such cases, you may present the prescription to a local doctor, who can decide whether to issue a valid local version based on the original recommendation. However, there is no guarantee that local healthcare providers will accept or rewrite the prescription, as it ultimately depends on local laws and medical discretion.

Prescriptions are only issued when medically appropriate and at the discretion of the treating doctor. They are securely delivered through the MedicusUnion platform. If you are unsure whether a prescription will be valid in your country, we recommend checking with your local pharmacy or healthcare provider in advance.

Question 15

Can doctors on MedicusUnion treat emergencies?

Accepted Answer
